Lake Vista Residence, New Orleans
Our clients’ desire for a home that allowed them to live primarily on the first floor but provided additional space for bedrooms and storage upstairs was a principal factor in the layout and design. Daylight and connection between interior and exterior are carefully crafted and arranged to give an airy feeling to the primary living spaces. The clients’ modern aesthetic allowed us to use interesting, textural materials that add warmth and sophistication. The exterior of the home has a wide, low-sloping roofline and detailing akin to some of the mid-century modern homes in the area, allowing it to blend in seamlessly and look like it has always been there, while simultaneously appearing new and fresh.
